Aashiqui 2 fame Palak Muchhal will perform live at Royal Albert Hall in London, UK. The special thing is that this will be her third performance there and she will pay tribute to her idol, famous singer Lata Mangeshkar. On July 28, Palak will perform with the Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra at the iconic venue.

Palak Muchhal said, “It is interesting to perform there for the third time. It is a matter of great honor and respect for any artist who gives a performance. When I performed there for the first time, I was 6 years old. Then, in 2015, I again performed there and sang my songs. This time it is a tribute to Lata ji.

It will certainly bring down nostalgia for Palak who sang Lata Mangeshkar songs during her first trip. Singer said, “I sang there with Anandji (of Kalyanji-Anandji fame). I also remember singing ‘Lag Ja Gale’ along with some other songs.

This time, I am going to sing Yaara Seeli Seeli, Aayega Aanewala, Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. I have tried to mix her songs from different decades as Lata ji has sung many hit numbers over the years. Every song sung by him has got a lot of love from people all over the world.

It’s been three months since Palak started her preparation. He said, “I designed this concert from the very beginning. I did several sessions on video call with the members of the orchestra. It is a 120-member orchestra team.

This time there is one more reason to make it special for Palak, her brother, singer Palash and husband, music director Mithun will also be present at the venue. She shares, “Palash will join me on stage to sing the male parts, originally sung by Kishore Kumar ji, Manna Dey ji and Mohammed Rafi ji.

Apart from this, Mithun ji is going to London to attend my concert. I find it very romantic and it means a lot to me. I have so much respect for him as an artist and it makes my special day even more special!”
