A report in OTTPlay.com claims that the rights were bought for Rs 250 crore. The streaming rights of Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer ‘Pathan’ were reportedly sold for Rs 100 crore.
According to the report, Jawan may be available on Netflix in 40 to 65 days after its theatrical release. However, official confirmation on this is yet to come.
According to a report by Sacnilk.com, Jawan earned an estimated Rs 23.3 crore across all languages in India on Wednesday. The Hindi version of Jawan grossed ₹21.5 crore, while the Tamil and Telugu versions collected ₹95 lakh and ₹85 lakh respectively.
‘Jawaan’ is basically a father-son story, which highlights various social and political issues through its protagonist played by Shah Rukh.
The film stars Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lahar Khan, Alia Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover and Mukesh Chhabra along with Sanjay Dutt in a cameo role.
