
Famous Hindi cinema actor Rio Kapadia has passed away at the age of 66. Along with the fans, the entire Bollywood industry is saddened by the demise of the actor, known for his work in Chak De India, Dil Chahta Hai and Mardaani.

The news of his demise was confirmed by his friend Faisal Malik. He is survived by his wife Maria Farah, children Aman and Veer.

Rio Kapadia breathed his last at 12.30 pm on Thursday. He was born on 8 June 1967. His wife’s name is Maria.

The last rites of actor Rio Kapadia will be held on September 15 at Shivdham cremation ground in Goregaon. The cause of Rio’s death has not been revealed yet.

Many people are seen paying tribute to Rio through social media. This includes his friends and fans.

Apart from films, the late actor was also seen in the television show ‘Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke’. He played the role of Gandhari’s father, King Subala of Gandhara, in Siddharth Tiwari’s Mahabharata.

Ryo spoke about actors’ rights in the television industry and urged other actors to show support for each other. In 2012, he spoke about the issues when he was replaced by another actor for a lead role in a show.
