Luxury car manufacturer Lexus is considering increasing the prices of vehicles from next month in view of the increasing costs and the falling value of the rupee against the dollar.

Weakening of rupee became the reason
Lexus India President Naveen Soni said, “Input prices are increasing and there is also pressure due to currency exchange rates.” The rupee had closed at 83.25 against the US dollar on October 17.
Booking of 150 units of LM model
He said that the company will start discussing the quantum of price increase at the end of this month and this increase will be implemented from the month of November. On the current festive season, Sony said that demand remains strong and bookings for 150 units of the LM model have been done. However, the company has not yet disclosed the price of LM model.
