During this, he discussed with the officials regarding the expenditure on the construction of this sky deck and the acquisition and identification of land. During the meeting, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar directed the officials of the Urban Development Department to identify a place in the heart of the city for the construction of the historic sky deck.
Austrian company prepared the design
The report said that the design of the sky deck to be built in Bengaluru has been prepared by Austrian design and architecture company Coop Himmelb (L)AU. This company has also built the Musée des Confluences (Lyon) in France and the European Central Bank (Frankfurt) in Germany. According to officials in the Deputy Chief Minister’s office, the design is said to be based on algorithms that control the natural growth of the banyan tree’s massive branches, hanging roots and blooming flowers.
How will the design of the sky deck be?
In design, this sky deck is divided into three parts, which include base, trunk and blossom. Its height will be around 250 meters. It will be built on about 8-10 acres of land. Its design will be like a banyan tree. The Skydeck design is inspired by the complex algorithms that control the natural growth of the banyan’s hanging branches, hanging roots and blooming flowers. The base of this skydeck will be like an anchor reflecting the history of the city. The trunk will be reminiscent of the growth of the banyan tree. The top part will be like a lighthouse inspired by a blooming flower. Additionally, the wing catcher on its top will rotate to face the direction of the wind.
Electricity will be generated from solar panels
Officials of the Urban Development Department said that a solar panel will also be installed on the roller-coaster deck of this sky deck, which will generate electricity. It will be used for this high deck.
Will be equipped with shopping malls, restaurants, theaters and sky gardens
The biggest thing is that this sky deck to be built in Bengaluru will also have facilities like shopping malls, restaurants, theaters and sky gardens. Its top will also have a roller-coaster station, exhibition hall, sky lobby, skydeck for panoramic views, beer bar and a VIP area. The company has said in its proposal that the skywalk and roller-coaster are achievements of engineering, which will be seen hanging in the air through a network of cables and wires from the core of the tower against the force of gravity.
