What is National Common Mobility Card?

National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) is an inter-operative transport card designed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs of the Central Government. Not only this, toll tax can also be paid at the highway toll plaza through this.

Can be used in Delhi Metro

Not only this, this National Common Mobility Card can also be used in Delhi Metro trains. For this, changes have also been made in the entry gates of metro stations. This card will also open the entry gate on the Airport Express Line of Delhi Metro. For this, changes have been made in all the automatic fare collection gates at the stations of this line. Now National Common Mobility Card and RuPay Card, Delhi Metro Card, Token and QR Code can be read at these gates.

National Common Mobility Card will work like ATM card

This card has been developed in collaboration with National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI). This means that any bank can also issue this card as an ATM cum debit card. It has been designed in such a way that it will not only work as a prepaid card, it can also be used as an ATM cum debit card.

Features of National Common Mobility Card

  • With this card you can pay for parking, toll tax, metro, train tickets, bus tickets etc. at any place in India.

  • Money can be withdrawn from any ATM in India.

  • Along with this, transactions up to Rs 2000 can be done without any PIN or OTP.

  • If you travel by metro train, you will have to stand in long queues to get a ticket. You can use it just like a metro card.

  • On using the card, one gets 5 to 10 percent cashback and 10 to 20 percent discount in metro.

How to make National Common Mobility Card

All private and government banks in India issue cards with National Common Mobility Card feature. If you also want to get National Common Mobility Card made, then you can contact the bank where you have your account. At present, National Common Mobility Card is available in 25 banks. How to get the card

Take the necessary documents like PAN, Aadhaar and 2 photographs to the bank where you have an account, and submit the application for making National Common Mobility Card. For this, you will get a form from the bank, fill it and submit it to the concerned bank officer along with the necessary documents. After a few days, the card will reach your home address. Apart from this, if you get this card made from Paytm, then you will have to pay a charge of Rs 250 for it. In this, Rs 100 is given back as cashback, the remaining Rs 100 remains as balance in the card.
