Indian Army issues RFI to purchase 423 e-bikes
Indian Army In a significant step forward towards modernizing its fleet and adopting sustainable mobility, the Indian Army has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for the procurement of approximately 423 electric motorcycles. These eco-friendly two-wheelers are ready to serve in peacekeeping establishments and units deployed in plains and semi-hilly areas across India.

The electric motorcycles purchased by the Indian Army are not your elite citizen models. They are designed for military purposes, each capable of carrying two soldiers. What will be the specifications of army e-bikes?
The specifications mentioned for these electric motorcycles are quite detailed. Their unloaded weight should not be more than 150 kg and should not be less than 130 kg. Furthermore, their overall dimensions and weight should make it possible for them to be easily handled by a single person, thereby ensuring the practicality and convenience of their use in military operations.
Bike driving will be possible in every season
The motorcycles are expected to perform admirably in a wide temperature range from a bone-chilling minus 50 degrees Celsius to a scorching 40 degrees Celsius. This adaptability is important for their effective deployment in the diverse climatic conditions of India.
