Give as much fruits, vegetables, pulses, milk and milk products as possible to eat. Provide home made nutritious items in school tiffin also. Take care of hydration also.
Avoidance of oily and refined things
Sugar, salt, flour and refined oil. There is a risk of weight gain and many diseases due to these. According to WHO, more than 15-20 grams of sugar daily is harmful for children. Especially, stay as far away as possible from things like toffee-chocolate, cold drinks, shakes, juices.
You also have to improve yourself
Generally, children follow their parents the most. In such a situation, children also learn your bad habits. In this situation, correct your bad habits. If you smoke or consume alcohol, avoid taking it at home. If you can leave, it is best. With this, the child will not be exposed to passive smoking. Secondly, in future, it will be protected from getting addicted to them and from various diseases.
limit screen time
Do not allow children to watch TV programs or play games on mobile for long. When they become mentally connected, they forget the world and remain sitting for hours. To reduce screen time, encourage them to do other activities as per their interest. Bring a variety of toys, puzzles, and hobby items.
Please send us to play outdoor games
Be sure to take children to the park right from childhood. Motivate them to play and do group activities with other children. According to the American Heart Association, it is important for a child to be active for at least 3-4 hours every day. By doing physical activities, the child’s energy level will be maintained, obesity will not increase, the heart will get exercise and he will remain healthy.
