Tata Motors signed an MoU on November 1, 2023 for supply and operation of 200 electric buses in Srinagar and Jammu for 12 years for Jammu-Srinagar Smart City projects. According to a statement issued by Tata Motors, the company has supplied the first consignment of Ultra EV air-conditioned electric buses to Srinagar Smart City Limited through group company TML Smart City Mobility Solutions (J&K) Private Limited.
Electric buses will be supplied
Under this agreement, Tata Motors will supply and operate 100 electric buses in Srinagar and 100 electric buses in Jammu. These buses are Tata Motors’ Ultra EV air-conditioned electric buses, which can cover a distance of up to 275 kilometers.

“The electric buses have been supplied under a mega contract for supply, maintenance and operation of 100 electric buses in Srinagar and 100 electric buses in Jammu for 12 years for the Jammu-Srinagar Smart City projects,” the statement said.
