New Delhi : During the festive season, vehicle manufacturing companies are launching SUVs, hatchbacks, premier hatchbacks, luxury, midsize cars in the market in electric, CNG, petrol and diesel engine variants. But, the demand for midsize SUV cars is quite high in the market. The midsize SUV segment is occupied by models like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Grand Vitara. However, Honda has recently launched the updated version of Elevate to compete with these cars. We are going to talk about four midsize cars which are going to be launched in the Indian car market in the coming time.
Hyundai Creta Facelift
According to media reports, Hyundai Creta facelift can be launched in early 2024. However, the new Creta is already being sold in the global market. It is also being said that its India-spec model may be quite different from the regular model. Many changes can be made in this car to be launched in India, which will include a new front grille and split headlamp setup. The new Creta facelift will also get updated interiors with similarities to the new Hyundai Verna. Many new safety features will be provided in it along with ADAS technology. Along with this, it will also get features like dual screen setup, second for infotainment and digital instrument console, new steering wheel, ventilated front seats, electrically adjustable driver seat, panoramic sunroof and auto headlamps. It will be offered with 1.5 liter NA petrol, 1.5 liter turbo diesel and 1.5 liter turbo petrol engines.
Tata Motors will launch the production-version of the Curve SUV coupe in the first half of 2024. This SUV will first come with electric powertrain and ICE engine will soon join the line-up. It will retain the basic styling of the concept except for a few production-spec design elements. The new Curve SUV will get a layered dashboard with a new large touchscreen infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Apart from this, Tata Curve will be equipped with digital instrument console, touch-based panel for climate control, ventilated front seats, electrically adjustable driver seat and other features. The new Curve SUV will also get ADAS technology like the features given in the new Harrier and Safari. Its EV version can get a larger battery pack with a range of more than 500 km on a single charge. Along with this, it will also get a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, which generates power of 170 PS and torque of 280 Nm.
New Generation Renault Duster
New generation Renault Duster can be launched in India in early 2025. For this, customers will have to wait a long time. This is because its diesel engine models were a hot seller in India before this and still set the benchmark for the best suspension configuration/setup. The new generation Duster is scheduled to debut in the month of November. It is expected to be introduced under the Dacia nameplate for the first time. Where Dacia is not available, this SUV can be sold under the Renault nameplate. The new model will be larger in size and will have more second row and boot space. Not only this, apart from the New Duster, Renault will also launch the production version of the Bigstar Concept. The seven-seater SUV will be sold along with the new generation Duster and will compete with the Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar and Mahindra XUV700.

Like the new Duster, Nissan is also planning to launch a new midsize SUV based on the new CMF-B modular architecture. The new model can be launched in the market with a new name or it can be introduced as a replacement for Kicks. Many new components and design elements will be shared with the new Duster. Not just styling and interior, this SUV will also share powertrain options with the third generation Duster. Apart from this, the SUV will also get a 7-seater version.
