With new waves of bans rolling out steadily in 2021, more Warzone players are being blocked than ever. But how many accounts have actually been banned from the popular battle royale?
When it comes to hackers in Warzone, it can often seem like an insurmountable problem. Without a strict anti-cheat system that bans players on the spot, the community has to rely on waves of occasional bans from Raven Software.
These upgrades can come at random times and seemingly bring down a different part of the player base in each case. Some have been drastic, eliminating tens of thousands of people, while others have been quite minuscule in comparison.
But with every wave of bans to date, how many problem accounts have been removed from the game? This is what we know for sure.
We have zero tolerance for cheaters across Call of Duty and Warzone.

After a long period of relative silence on issues throughout 2020, a major update was finally released in February 2021. In this blog post, we learned that a whopping 60,000 accounts were banned from the game in one go.
This is one of the largest ban waves in Warzone history, bringing the total number to more than 300,000 bans at that time.
Since then, we’ve seen more consistent ban waves than ever. In the first quarter of 2021 alone, five updates have been deployed. While not all of these ban waves came with specific details, we have a good idea of the total bans so far.
Three of the most recent attacks appear to have been somewhat minor. Without providing exact figures, it is safe to assume that these particular updates during February and March were in the four-figure range.
However, the most recent round revealed that 13,000 accounts were banned on March 23rd. Connecting the dots, it’s clear that Warzone is approaching the 400,000 total account ban mark.
Obviously, this figure changes every day. With more accounts blocked every hour, the total number is constantly increasing. We will make sure to update any new information that comes to light here.
In the meantime, you can be sure that the hackers will finally be punished for their actions in Warzone.
