The episode begins with Manidas who is busy doing his work in plucking flowers in the garden, while his colleague is abusing him for getting this job when he is on vacation and asks him if you are not the same person whom all Fools understand.
Manidas sees his lord in the plants so unknowingly starts chanting the name of his lord Jagannath that even his broken flowers fall from his hands which are crushed by his feet.
Balabhadra tells Shri Krishna how his devotee is dancing lost in his devotion, while he says that this is called the depth of devotion.
Maharaj sees Manidas dancing like a fool in his devotion, but destroys the flowers so he slaps him, while Balabhadra asks Shri Krishna why didn’t you help your devotee with Maharaj’s slap, but he Told him that he needed time to explain. What was he doing wrong in his devotion?
Maharaj shouts to Manidas saying that because of your foolish devotion you have destroyed all flowers so this work is not worth yours, but he only apologizes for providing one opportunity and Maharaj tells him on one condition That you should forget your lord but he refuses saying that how can a devotee forget his lord so maharaj asks his people to throw him away.
Manidas thinks that if I didn’t earn anything today how will he show his face to his wife and parents instead he got punishment while his wife is taking care of parents that today Swami has something to eat for us. will bring because he is up to his duty to work and bring us to eat, but Manidas comes home empty handed and his wife finds something wrong so she asks him but she tells him to dance in devotion for his lord tells of his mistake so he was thrown out but she tells him to get him anyway something for the parents and he goes to his uncle to ask for help to get a job, which is a shop in the market and he assures her one last time and also gives her grain on loan to repay later.
Manidas happily moves towards his house thinking about the happiness of his wife and parents but some beggars take the name of his lord Jagannath and beg for food and he again distributes it among those who pray in the name of the lord. While chanting, think of the Lord around you.
Balabhadra tells Shri Krishna how his devotee is doing this in deep devotion without thinking of his wife and parents who are waiting for him, while the Lord goes to stand behind him and Manidas is doing this in deep devotion. without realizing that it is the Lord himself and gives grains in his hands but his wife who has heard his voice goes to him to stop and fills those grains in her dress. She shakes him and he stops to realize his mistake again but she accuses him saying that people are right to mark you as a fool and it seems and leaves and the lord also takes his returns to the place. Manidas feels sad at the wife’s accusation.
Balabhadra asks Shri Krishna that your devotee’s wife has become so depressed after accusing him that what will happen to their food today but he tells them that she has given me this grain which is in my hand.
Ganesha tells Pushpadanta that in this way his devotion was so deep that his lord was always there to support him.
Madhav asks Manidas if all these were insulting you and he tells them that I was insulted but it was being taken lightly because of devotion to my lord.
Manidas’s wife cooks food which is very little so she serves the parents and Manidas while she doesn’t but realizes that she is asking him to show her her utensils but she tells him that It is enough for me while he asks her to show it and she gets nothing but he tells it is too much for you to see her and she looks for a pot full of food so assumes it is Lord and fills everyone’s stomach with happiness.
Lord Shri Krishna also eats the grains that he keeps in his hands, which fills the pot in the hands of Manidas’s wife.
Manidas is doing the work of plucking flowers in another Maharaj’s garden, but from there some devotees also chant the name of the Lord and at one time he controls himself, but later he could not control the name of the Lord. started dancing while chanting, while Maharaj woke up hearing his voice. Maharaj comes to him and says because of you I got up early from regular time but he requests him saying that it is good to wake up after hearing the name of Lord.
