New Delhi: Politics has once again heated up regarding the door-to-door ration scheme of the Delhi government. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has said that the central government has written a letter giving excuses to stop the scheme. Manish Sisodia said that a scheme was made by Arvind Kejriwal for the PDS ration of poor people in Delhi to reach their homes, like pizza and clothes are delivered. But the Center had banned it. However, they had no right over it because the state government decides how the ration would be distributed.
Referring to the letter, Manish Sisodia said that yesterday another letter from the Government of India has come in which mainly two things have been written. In this, the Prime Minister has written that your proposal to distribute ration to poor people from door to door is rejected. But we have not sent any proposal. You had expressed your concern after reading the news in the newspapers that if you do not name it as Chief Minister’s House-Ghar Yojana, then we have removed that name. Which proposal did you reject then? The most important thing which is written in this letter is that why the ration of the poor cannot be delivered to their homes.
Manish Sisodia said that mainly some things have been written in the excuses given by the Prime Minister. It has been asked in the letter that you have not told what will be its price? If you would have asked us what the price would be, we would have told. But you refused without asking. Whereas we have written in the plan that the price will not be more than the price fixed by the Government of India. But you didn’t even ask us.
The Deputy CM of Delhi said that the second excuse is that to whose house the ration goes, how will it be known that his address is correct? How to make sure this address is correct? The third excuse is that these poor people who live in narrow streets, how will the ration reach there? The fourth excuse is that these poor people live on the third and fourth floor in a multistorey building, how will the ration reach their house? The next excuse is that if a person changes his address, how will the ration reach his house? There is an excuse that if the ration car gets damaged or gets stuck in traffic then how will the ration reach?
Manish Sisodia said that I sometimes laugh at these excuses of the Prime Minister that what excuses he has to find that ration should not reach the poor man’s house. Why can’t ration reach a street where pizza can reach?
Hitting out at the Prime Minister, Sisodia said, “I want to ask the Prime Minister why are you in such a quarrelsome mood all the time? For the first time in the country, the Prime Minister has seen such a quarrel in the history of 75 years. Who is engaged in quarreling with the states in the morning and evening. Why are you such a quarrelsome prime minister? Sometimes you are fighting with the Chief Minister of West Bengal, sometimes you are fighting with her Chief Secretary, you are fighting with Twitter and Facebook. When I was reading this letter, I had a feeling that one day you must have woken up in the morning and you must have seen the list and the food secretary would have said that today there is a fight with Kejriwal. So cancel their ration plan. Your food secretary must have told you that there is no proposal of Delhi government which you rejected.
Manish Sisodia said that I want to tell you that you are the young India Prime Minister of the 21st century. And doesn’t it suit the Prime Minister of young India that ration cannot be delivered to those homes where pizza can be delivered? You just look for excuses to fight. The youth of this country have so much status today that you will give them ration and tell them that if they want to reach the moon, then they will take them to the moon. Today the youth of our country have the ability to deliver ration on the moon and you are saying that you cannot take it to the narrow streets and the third floor. I want to tell you that you keep your thinking big. The people of the country are fed up with this quarrelsome nature of yours.
In the letter sent to the Delhi government, these 7 reasons have been given by the central government to stop the home delivery of ration.
- How to know that the address where the ration has to be delivered is correct?
- Those who have to give ration live in narrow streets, so how will the ration reach such narrow streets?
- Many people live in multi story building, how to get there?
- If the address is changed then how will the ration reach
- If the ration car gets damaged, how will it reach?
- If the ration car gets stuck in the traffic then how will the ration reach?
- You didn’t even tell us what would be the price of ration?
