New Delhi: While discussions are going on for the integration, jointness and theater command of the three armies in the country, in such a situation, the official statement issued by the Indian Air Force regarding the joint exercise with the US Navy is being discussed. Controversy has arisen regarding this. Former Navy Chief and Army Chief has expressed strong objection to not naming the Indian Navy in the official statement.
According to the Air Force, the US Navy’s Carrier Strike Group includes aircraft carriers, USS Ronald Reagan as well as missile destroyers, USS Halsey and the Guidet missile cruiser, USS Silo are taking part. In addition, F-18 Hornet fighter jets and reconnaissance aircraft deployed on the ‘Ronald Reagan’ E2C Hawkeye will participate.
According to the Navy, ‘war fighting skills’ will be tried during the exercise, as well as the navies of India and America Will work on ‘Interoperability’ i.e. mutual cooperation.
