Dehradun: Protest has been going on for the last eight days for increasing the stipend of trainee doctors at Doon Medical College, Dehradun in Uttarakhand. Trainee doctors are protesting after giving their duty, demanding to increase the stipend. Intern doctors have also written a letter to the Chief Minister regarding their demand, in which they have said that MBBS fees are high and stipend is lowest in the state.

Trainee MBBS doctors say that if we talk about the states of North India, Uttarakhand is the lowest paying state for trainee MBBS. 23 in Delhi, 12 in Uttar Pradesh and 17 thousand rupees are being given monthly in Himachal Pradesh.
