Jammu: There is an outcry in the country due to Corona virus. Recently, due to the second wave of corona virus, lakhs of people were hit by Kovid-19. Thousands of people died in the second wave of Corona. At the same time, now the Delta Plus variant of Corona virus has come to the fore, whose first case has been found in Jammu and Kashmir.
Cases of delta plus variants of corona virus have already been found in Kerala, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Apart from this, cases of Delta Plus variants have also been reported from Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. At the same time, the first case of delta plus form of corona virus has come to light in Jammu and Kashmir. Shashi Sudhan Sharma, principal of Government Medical College, Jammu gave this information.
He said that officials are trying to confirm whether the patient is a local or had traveled from somewhere. Sharma told that the said case of infection has come up in Katra of Reasi district. He said, ‘We are continuously sending samples to (National Center for Disease Control, Delhi) for (genome) sequencing. In some parts of our country, a new variant of the virus has been found Delta Plus and one such case has come to the fore in Katra. Travelers going to Vaishno Devi stop at Katra.

With this, India has joined the list of countries where cases of Delta Plus variants have been found. Let us tell you that apart from India, the ‘Delta Plus’ variant of the corona virus has been found in America, Britain, Portugal, Switzerland, Japan, Poland, Nepal, China and Russia.
