New Delhi: In a case of theft registered in the year 1991 in Delhi Police, the accused has been arrested after 28 years. This case was registered in the year 1991 at Connaught Place police station in Delhi. In this case, the complainant Vinod Kumar had lodged an FIR regarding the theft in his house, in which the allegation was leveled against a person named Rishi Pal. After the registration of the case, the accused Rishi Pal had absconded.
Delhi’s Patiala House court declared a fugitive
Police was searching for the accused since the FIR was registered in this case of theft. But the accused Rishi Pal was on the run continuously. The Patiala House court in this case, on August 17, 1992, the accused Rishipal was declared a fugitive. Since then the matter had gone into cold storage.
Arrest from Delhi’s Mandir Marg area
Delhi Police was once again searching for the accused by opening the file of similar old cases. In the case, the investigating officer got a big success after getting information from the informer and the police arrested the accused Rishipal from near Mandir Marg on Thursday.
However, after such a long time, the face of the accused had changed a lot. But after getting concrete information from the informer, when the police interrogated him in custody, then all the truth was spilled in it. After which the police arrested Rishi Pal.
