Although the Central Government and the Union Agriculture Minister have made it clear on many occasions that they are ready for talks with the agitating farmers, but there is no question of withdrawing the three new agricultural laws. Several rounds of talks between farmers and the government over the impasse over these controversial laws have been fruitless.
Let us tell you that today, on the occasion of completion of seven months of farmers’ movement, farmers have called a big movement across the country. Under this, the agitating farmers are submitting memorandums against the agricultural laws to the Governors of all the states and the Lieutenant Governors of the Union Territories.
