New Delhi: Free Corona Vaccine has been started for all in the country on 21st June by the Central Government. On June 21, a record 86 lakh 16 thousand people were given the corona vaccine in the country. This was the biggest ever figure in a single day in the vaccine campaign that started from January 16 in the country. At the same time, more than 300 million people have been given the vaccine so far.
According to health experts, the vaccine will protect people from hospitalization and death if they have corona. Based on the availability of the vaccine, it is believed that in the coming days, about 50-8 lakh doses will be given daily. If the vaccine is introduced at this speed, the effect of the third wave of corona can be reduced.
States are making people aware of the vaccine in urban and rural areas, somewhere it has also been made mandatory. The World Health Organization has described vaccine hesitation as one of the ten big challenges. There is also hesitation in India about the vaccine.
The survey agency Local Circle has tried to understand the people’s opinion and hesitation regarding the trend towards the vaccine. For this survey, the local survey learned the opinion of only those people who have not taken the vaccine. In this survey, 9 thousand responses were received from 279 districts of the country. Of those surveyed, 65% were males while 35% were females. 48% of the people surveyed are from Tier 1 cities, 24% from Tier 2 cities and 28% from Tier 3, 4 and rural areas.
Know the big things of the survey
– Of those who have not yet taken the vaccine, only 29% expressed a desire to take the vaccine. 24% said that until it is proved that the existing vaccine is effective against current and future variants.
There is still hesitation about getting the vaccine in 33 crore adult population. 20 crore said that soon they will get the vaccine. 16 crore said that until they are satisfied that the existing vaccine is effective against current and future variants.
A total of 94 crore population has to be vaccinated, in which 24 crore have received one dose. Now about 70 crore people have to be given more vaccines.
– Conclusion of the survey – Experts have expressed the possibility of a third wave coming in the next two months. In such a situation, the government should take big steps regarding the availability of the vaccine and hesitation against it.
