Live telecast of Aarti from the holy cave of Baba Amarnath will start from today. In view of the Corona epidemic, like last year, Baba Amarnath Yatra has been canceled this year too, but the symbolic yatra is taking place. Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Shrine Board officials will offer prayers at the holy cave on the first day of the yatra. The officials of the administration and police will reach the holy cave from the Baltal route. From today to August 22, aarti will be held for half an hour from 6 am to 6.30 pm and from 5 pm to 5.30 pm. It will be broadcast live on Shri Amarnath ji’s website and app.
According to official sources of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, apart from LG Manoj Sinha, some devotees and military officers can take part in the special puja. Apart from this, the officials of the Shrine Board will also be present on the occasion. Shri Amarnath Shrine Board Chairman and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, while announcing the cancellation of Shri Amarnath Yatra due to the Corona period, said that the Yatra has been canceled to save the lives of the people. But soon all religious activities will be able to take place at the holy cave as before.
Last Darshan will be on 22nd August
Even though the yatra is not taking place this year, for two months, administrative and police officers as well as security forces will be deployed. Worship is to be performed in the holy cave for 56 days. The board and administration will also arrange for Chadi Mubarak. The last darshan will be done on August 22, the day of Raksha Bandhan, with which this journey will end.
