Randeep Guleria, head of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi (AIIMS), has said that the availability of corona vaccine for children can be seen as a big success. He said that after the children get the vaccine, schools can also be opened smoothly.
He said that the second and third stage trials of covaccine are being done on children from 2 to 18 years. Its figures are expected to come by September. He said that if Pfizer’s vaccine is approved, it could also be an option for children. He further said, “The vaccine can be given to children around September-October.” At the same time, a senior government official says that Zydus Cadila is also expected to apply to the Drug Controller General of India for approval for the emergency use of its vaccine Zykov-D. The company claims that it can be given to both youth and children. Dr Guleria said, “If Zydus vaccine is approved, then this will also be another option.”

Dr. Randeep Guleria said that if we want to stop the third wave, then it is in our hands. If we follow the rules of Corona then the virus will not spread. I would appeal to everyone to follow all the corona rules and apply lockdown wherever there are more cases of corona and apply all the vaccines. He said that by September-October we will have vaccines of our country which we can give to children. He said that the disease of corona in children is very mild, we should first vaccinate the elderly and those who already have many diseases.
