Jammu: Jammu Air Force Station: Hours after the drone strikes took place on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, two drones were spotted at the vulnerable Kaluchak Military Station in Jammu. The army has launched an extensive search operation to find these two seen in Kaluchak Military Station.
According to Defense Ministry spokesperson Col Devendra Anand in Jammu, two separate incidents of drone sightings at Ratnuchak Kaluchak Military Station in Jammu occurred on the intervening night of June 27 and 28.
A Defense Ministry spokesman said that after seeing this drone in the station, the quick reaction team stationed there fired at these drones. But, both of them withdrew from the area before any damage could be done to these drones.
According to the army, due to the vigilance of the soldiers posted on the ground, the plot of another major attack was foiled and at present a comprehensive search operation is being conducted in this area.
Statement of Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbagh Singh
Let us tell you that before this, two explosions took place in the technical airport complex of Jammu at around 2 pm on Saturday night. Jammu Police has confirmed this. Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh termed the two blasts at the Jammu airport under the jurisdiction of the Air Force as a terrorist attack.
Dilbag Singh had said that another IED weighing 5-6 kg was recovered by the Jammu Police. This IED was obtained by Lashkar-e-Taiba operative and it was to be planted in a crowded place.
