New Delhi: Corona cases are decreasing rapidly in the national capital Delhi and the infection rate has also reached 0.10%. In view of the improving conditions, decreasing cases of corona and a large number of vacant covid beds in hospitals, the Delhi government has issued an order to reduce the number of reserve beds for treatment of corona in private hospitals and nursing homes. Along with this, the Delhi Government has also issued an order to reduce the number of Kovid beds in the government hospitals and Kovid Care Centers under it.
In the order issued by the Delhi government for private hospitals, it has been said that the cases of corona are now decreasing and a large number of covid beds are lying vacant. Along with this, beds are needed for the treatment of non-Covid patients. In view of this, the Delhi government has issued orders to private hospitals and nursing homes. The order states that-
All private hospitals and nursing homes with a bed capacity of 100 or more can reduce the number of beds reserved for Corona by 30% of their total bed capacity, or three times their total bed occupancy by 16 June 2021 can do. Whichever of these numbers is higher will be valid.
Also, private hospitals and nursing homes with less than 100 beds will have the option to reserve corona beds.
Apart from this, such nursing homes which were given provisional registration for the treatment of Kovid will reserve 100% of their beds for the treatment of corona.
It has also been said in the order that if the cases of corona increase in Delhi, then all private hospitals and nursing homes will have to increase the number of Kovid beds immediately.
The number of beds in Delhi government hospitals and Kovid care centers has also been reduced-
According to the order issued for Delhi Government Hospitals and Kovid Care Centers, after reducing the number of Kovid beds and Kovid ICU beds in a total of 20 Delhi Government Hospitals and Kovid Care Center, the total number of Reserve Kovid beds is 3000 and Kovid ICU beds. The number has been increased to 1620.
After de-escalation, the Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital now has 150 general beds and 150 ICU beds for Corona. GTB has 600 general and 550 ICU beds. And Loknayak Hospital has 700 general and 700 ICU beds. At the same time, the number of Kovid beds in Satyawadi Raja Harishchandra Hospital and Guru Nanak Eye Center is now zero.
Also, the number of beds in the Shehnai Banquet Hall attached with Loknayak Hospital has been reduced to zero. The number of Kovid beds in Sant Nirankari Kovid Care Center has been reduced to 50. The number of Kovid beds in the Kovid Care Center built in Yamuna Sports Complex has been reduced to 50. Now the number of Kovid beds in Sardar Patel Kovid Care Center Chhatarpur has come down to 200. There are 50 beds in Akshardham Kovid Care Center and 100 beds in Kovid Care Center built in Gurdwara Rakabganj.
