Muzaffarpur: There is a continuous increase in the prices of fuel in the country. In many states, the price of petrol has even crossed Rs 100. Meanwhile, a complaint has been filed in a court in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district against Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the hike in the price of petrol and diesel.
In the said complaint filed against Pradhan in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate of Muzaffarpur, local resident and complainant Tamanna Hashmi has alleged that despite the low price of crude oil in petroleum producing countries, petrol and diesel were sold at high prices under a conspiracy. He is going.
Hashmi, who has filed the said complaint under sections 420, 295, 295A and 511 of the IPC, said that people are scared and angry due to the continuous increase in the prices of petrol and diesel. At the same time, the matter will be heard in the court on July 3.
What did Dharmendra Pradhan say on rising petrol prices?
At the same time, with the prices of petrol and diesel reaching a record level in the past, Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had said that Congress-ruled states like Rajasthan and Maharashtra should cut taxes on vehicle fuel. However, he remained silent on whether states like BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka would also do the same, where petrol has crossed Rs 100 per litre.
A few days ago, Dharmendra Pradhan had said on the rising prices of petrol and diesel that the main reason for this is the increase in crude oil prices in the international market, where the price of crude oil is more than US $ 70 per barrel. He said that India imports 80 percent of the oil, which is why consumers are affected.
