Barabanki: On Monday, in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate of Barabanki district in Uttar Pradesh, the jailed Bahubali Mukhtar Ansari was heard through video conference. During this, Ansari requested the court, citing the rules, to provide television facility in his barracks like other jails. Ansari accused the state government of treating him step-motherly in this matter.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Rakesh has ordered to send Ansari to judicial custody till July 5, the next hearing will be held on the same day. Mukhtar Ansari’s advocate Randhir Singh Suman told that Mukhtar also requested the Chief Judicial Magistrate that after his health check-up through the Uttar Pradesh Medical Board, it was directed that Ansari should be given physiotherapy daily even while in jail, but in Banda. The jail administration is not doing this till date. This may increase Ansari’s health problems in future.
Registration through fake identity card
In the year 2013, an ambulance was registered from the ARTO office in the district with the help of forged documents. Hearing on the ambulance case related to Mukhtar Ansari, MLA from Mau Sadar seat in eastern Uttar Pradesh, was held on Monday. When the investigation of this ambulance was started in the transport department of the district, it was found that it had not been renewed. Documents were checked and the ambulance was found to be registered using a fake identity card of Alka Rai.
In this case, a case was registered against many including Dr. Alka Rai, Dr. Sheshnath Rai, Rajnath Yadav, Mujahid in Nagar Kotwali. Later, after the involvement of Mukhtar in the investigation, Ansari’s name was also included while increasing the sections in the case. Dr. Alka Rai, Sheshnath Rai and Rajnath Yadav are in jail in this case. After being brought from Ropar jail in Punjab, Ansari is lodged in Banda jail in various criminal cases.
