A shocking case has come to light in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. A husband was accused that after killing his own wife, he took the body in a suitcase and set it on fire in a deserted area outside the city. Srikanth Reddy, a resident of Budvel in Kadapa district and Bhuvaneshwari (27), a resident of Ramasamudram in Chittoor district, had a love marriage in the year 2019. Both of them shifted to an apartment located in DBR Road in Tirupati three months ago, they also have a daughter of about one and a half year old.
It is being told that in the year 2020, Shrikant had lost his job, since then there were frequent arguments between husband and wife. There were fights many times. It is alleged that Srikanth killed his wife Bhuvaneshwari, then took the body in a suitcase and burnt it in a deserted area.
According to the CCTV footage, on 22nd of this month, Srikkanth came out of his apartment, dragging a red suitcase carrying his daughter in his lap, leaving in a taxi with the suitcase.
The taxi went to the deserted area of Ruya Government Hospital in Tirupati, took out the body from the suitcase and set it on fire by spraying petrol, then went back in the same taxi. Police identified the taxi in the CCTV footage. It can be seen in the CCTV footage that he came back to his room with a Srikant Lal suitcase carrying his daughter in his lap, during which the suitcase was light.
On 23rd of this month, the burnt body was recovered by the police in the hospital. After investigating the CCTV footage of the area, the taxi was found, taking the driver into custody and interrogating him.
Seeing Bhuvaneshwari’s phone switched off, the relatives asked Srikant, he said that his wife had been infected with Corona, she died during treatment in Hyderabad. His family did not believe his words, Mamta, the daughter of Bhuvaneshwari’s sister, is posted as a sub-inspector trainee in Kurnool district, she checked the CCTV of the apartment to investigate, then the truth came out. He put the CCTV in front of Tirupati Police. Right now the police is looking for Shrikant, who is still absconding.
