New Delhi: So far, more than 33 crore 79 lakh doses of corona vaccine have been given in the country. According to the data released through the Union Health Ministry, 33,25,81,423 vaccine doses have been given in India so far. So far 8,99,01,981 people have been given the first dose and 20,81,948 people have been given the second dose in 37 states and union territories.
Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal have contributed 10 lakh persons above 18 to 44 years of age. More people have been vaccinated. Apart from this, eight states have given the first dose of more than 50 lakh vaccines in the age group of 18 to 44 years. These states are Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Gujarat, Karnataka and Maharashtra.
According to the data released through the Ministry of Health, 9.72 crore vaccine doses were given in rural areas, which is 56% of the vaccine given between May 1 and June 24, while 7.68 crore doses have been given in urban areas. That’s 44%. At the same time, 14,94,99,091 women and 17,43,73,060 men have been vaccinated. 46% of women and 54% of men have been vaccinated

The estimated population in the age group of 18 to 44 years is 59.7 crore, out of which 15% have been given the first dose.
– The estimated population in the age group of 45-59 years is 20.9 crore, out of which the first dose has been given to 42%.
Similarly, the estimated population of 60 years and above is 13.8 crore and in this age group 49% have been given the first dose.
The nationwide vaccination campaign was launched on 16 January and the vaccination of frontline workers started on 2 February. The next phase of corona vaccination started from March 1, in which people above 60 years of age as well as people above 45 years of age who have serious illness were started. At the same time, vaccination was started for every person above 45 years of age from April 1. Vaccination of people between 18 and 44 years started from May 1. Whereas from June 21, free vaccination was started for people above 18 years of age.
