New Delhi: Vaccination campaign is going on in the country to prevent the deadly corona virus. The central government has told that so far about 49 percent of the population of 60 years or above in the country has received the first dose of corona virus vaccine. The government said that so far a total of 33.1 crore people have been vaccinated in the country. An average of 57.68 lakh people have been vaccinated daily between June 21 and 28.
15 percent people in the age group of 18 to 44 years got vaccinated
Between May 1 and June 24, 56 percent of the dose was given in rural areas, while 44 percent of the dose was given in urban areas. The government said that 15 percent of the 597 million people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been given the first dose of the vaccine.
42 percent of people between 45 years and 59 years got the vaccine
The Health Ministry has said that the population of people between 45 years and 59 years is about 209 million, out of which 42 percent people have been given the first dose of vaccine. After the highest number of corona virus cases were registered on May 10, the number of patients under treatment for corona virus has decreased by 85 percent.
Let us inform that there has been a significant increase in the corona vaccination campaign in the country since June 21 and about 46.1 million doses have been given in eight days, which are from Iraq (4.02 million), Canada (3.77 million), Saudi Arabia (3.48 million) and Malaysia ( 3.23 crore) population.
