Srinagar: Two terrorists were killed while another terrorist surrendered in an encounter with security forces in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. The officials gave this information. According to officials, on the basis of intelligence inputs about the hiding of terrorists, the security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Chimer village of Kulgam district.
Meanwhile, the terrorists present there started firing on them. Security forces also retaliated. Two terrorists have been killed in this encounter while another terrorist surrendered by laying down his arms. Detailed information about the encounter is awaited.
A jawan injured in Rajouri
A jawan was injured in an encounter with suspected terrorists along the Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. Officials said the incident happened during a search operation in Dadal village on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. After getting information about the presence of some armed men, a search operation was launched in this village and its surrounding areas along the Line of Control on Tuesday evening.
Lashkar commander was killed in Parimpora yesterday
Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Nadeem Abrar and a Pakistani terrorist were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Parimpora area in the early hours of Tuesday. Abrar was involved in several murder cases and was arrested on Monday during a vehicle check in Parimpora, a police spokesman said.
Abrar told during interrogation that he had hidden an AK-47 rifle at a place in Malura, on reaching where his Pakistani accomplice hiding inside the house opened fire. Abrar and Pakistani terrorist were killed in the encounter. He said that intelligence inputs were received about terrorists attacking highways and in view of its seriousness, the Jammu and Kashmir Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) had put up blockades at many places.
