This program has been organized by Indian Medical Association (IMA). National Doctors Day is celebrated across the country on 1 July every year. This day is the birthday and death anniversary of the great doctor of the country and the second Chief Minister of West Bengal, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. This day is celebrated in his memory.

Earlier Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with the beneficiaries of various schemes of Digital India at 11 am today. Today six years of this important initiative of the government are being completed. The Digital India initiative was launched with the aim of transforming India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The program to be held on April 1 will begin with the inaugural address of Union Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
