Raipur: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) team raided ten locations of Additional Director General of Police GP Singh in Chhattisgarh. ACB officials said that the bureau team started raids on around 10 places of JP Singh in the morning.
ADG GP Singh is a 1994 batch officer of the Indian Police Service. Presently he is the Director of State Police Academy. After the formation of the Congress government in Chhattisgarh, Singh was also the head of the ACB. The state government had removed him in June last year. Senior Indian Police Service officer Arif Sheikh has been appointed as the head of the ACB in place of Singh.
41 officers including 39 officers transferred
A day earlier, the Chhattisgarh government had transferred 41 police officers, including 39 officers of the Indian Police Service. These include the superintendent of police of 21 districts. The state government has transferred Inspector General of Police RP Sai, in-charge of Surguja area, to the post of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Police Headquarters Raipur.
