PM Modi spoke with the beneficiary of e-NAM scheme on the completion of 6 years of Digital India. The Prime Minister said, “The e-NAM portal has been created so that farmers can deal with their crops in all the mandis of the country. A large number of farmers and traders are joining on this portal.”
On completion of 6 years of Digital India, PM Modi said, Arogya Setu App helped a lot in preventing corona infection. During vaccination, many countries of the world are showing interest in the Kovin app. They want to get the benefit of this scheme in their country also. In the COVID era, we experienced how much Digital India has made our work easier. Imagine what would have happened in Corona if there was no digital connectivity. Digital India means opportunity for all, facility for all, participation for all.
Importance of digital in the life of farmers
PM Modi said that digital transactions have brought unprecedented change in the lives of farmers. Under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, more than 10 crore farmer families have been deposited Rs 1 lakh 35 crore directly in the bank account. Digital India has also realized the spirit of One Nation, One MSP.
PM Modi further said, ‘Digitalisation of education is the need of the hour. Now our effort is to get cheap and good internet connectivity in the village. Cheap mobiles and other mediums should be available so that even the poorest children can study well.
