New Delhi: The order to transfer police officers who have worked in the same commissionerate for more than eight years from one district to another has been stayed. For this, a list of about 727 policemen who were working in Mumbai zone for the last eight years was prepared and they were to be transferred to any other districts.
This decision was taken after the incident of Sachin Wajhe, who was expelled from the police department. But many posts are already vacant in the city, there is still a crisis of Kovid, festivals like Ganapati, Navratri, in the meeting of Police Establishment Board in the context of BMC elections, it was decided to postpone this order for six months.

Earlier A big decision was taken by the department regarding police officers in Mumbai. On the orders of DGP Sanjay Pandey, the PI, API and PSI posted in the Mumbai Police Zone for the last 8 years were ordered to be posted outside here. This meant that the senior PI, PSI and API level police officers who had completed 8 years in the Mumbai Police Zone would be posted in some other area.
