Shortly after the wedding in Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu, a bride named Nisha started teaching silabattam (a kind of martial art) in front of the entire village. She was married last month on June 28. Through this martial art, Nisha was teaching the women there how they can defend themselves in difficult times.
News agency ANI told that while talking, Nisha said- I started doing traditional martial arts in front of the villagers immediately after marriage so that women could become aware of the importance of self-defense. She further told that I have been learning for the last three years. I want more and more people to learn this art.

In the video you can see that this bride is seen doing martial arts in a sari on the village road itself. There are many people of the village standing there who are watching this art. And a garland of flowers was also placed around the bride’s neck. From this it seems that she has done this art immediately after marriage.
