Kolkata: There was a lot of ruckus in the first session of the 15th Legislative Assembly in West Bengal on Friday. When Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar reached the assembly, CM Mamta Banerjee welcomed him. Amidst the controversies, the two once again appeared together for some time. The governor was supposed to address the assembly at exactly two o’clock, but as soon as he stood up for his address, all the BJP MLAs including Shubhendu Adhikari entered the well and started protesting demanding justice in Bengal violence.
BJP leaders raised slogans and demonstrated in the assembly. Due to the uproar, Governor Dhankhar left the assembly without reading his full address. Leader of Opposition in Bengal Legislative Assembly Shubhendu Adhikari said that we respect the Governor, but what happened today was also historic. He said that all the BJP leaders protesting by taking these pictures were demanding justice.
Shubhendu said, "Justice for those workers who have lost their lives in political violence in Bengal. For those workers whose report has not even been registered by the police." Let us tell you that with the return of Governor Dhankhar, all the BJP MLAs came out of the assembly after protesting, wearing saffron dupatta around their vaccinated neck.
