The prices of cylinders, petrol, diesel, milk etc. have increased in the last week. Petrol and diesel prices have been increasing continuously for the last one month. Essential commodities like vegetables and household items have also become expensive. Mustard oil out of the kitchen
Mustard oil sold up to Rs 130 last year is selling at Rs 200, vegetable ghee from 90 to 150, refined oil from 90 to 150, tea leaves from 250 to Rs 400. Mustard oil has become so expensive that many people have shifted it from their kitchens and started using refined. On the other hand, Rajma has increased from Rs 110 to Rs 140, chickpea from Rs 90 to Rs 120 per kg. According to the data available with the Consumer Department of the Ministry of Food, edible oils, from eggs to rajma and pulses, have become expensive in the last one year. In Delhi’s ration shops, a carat of 30 eggs was recently sold at a rate of Rs 190 to 200 per carat. Even today it is selling at Rs 180 per carat. In the last three-four months, the price of pulses also increased by Rs 10-20 per kg, while rajma has increased to Rs 140 from last year’s rate of Rs 85-95 per kg.
Milk price increased by Rs 2
Amul has increased the price of milk (Milk Price hike). The price of Amul milk has increased by Rs 2 per liter. This increased milk prices is applicable from tomorrow i.e. 1st July 2021. The new prices of Amul milk will be applicable in many states including the country’s capital Delhi, Gujarat and Punjab. The company has increased all its brands by Rs 2 per liter. All Amul’s milk products Amul Gold, Amul Shakti, Amul Taza, Amul T-Special, Amul Slim and Trium will get an increase of Rs 2 per litre. With this, Amul Gold is now available at Rs 58 per liter.
809 gas cylinder
The gas cylinder caught fire. In Delhi, the 14.2 kg non-subsidized LPG cylinder has increased from Rs 809 to Rs 834.50. In Kolkata, its price has increased from Rs 835.50 to Rs 861, in Mumbai it has increased from Rs 809 to Rs 834 and in Chennai from Rs 825 to Rs 850. In Delhi, a 19 kg LPG cylinder has become Rs 1550 as against Rs 1473.50 last month. The surprising thing is that the price of LPG cylinder has increased by Rs 321 in 15 months. In May last year, the price of LPG cylinder was Rs 621, in August it increased to Rs 683. In the next month i.e. in September, this amount increased to Rs 692 per cylinder.
The price of petrol and diesel is close to a hundred
The price of one liter of petrol in Delhi has gone up to Rs 99.86 while the cost of one liter of diesel in Delhi is currently Rs 89.36. The price of petrol in Mumbai is Rs 105.93. Whereas in Chennai also it has crossed the level of Rs 100 and currently it is Rs 100.79 per liter. The price of petrol in Kolkata is also approaching three digits and today it is being sold at Rs 99.80 per liter.
Smartphones, TVs, cars and fridges may become expensive in July
Many companies have again increased the prices of consumer goods, electronic goods, smart phones etc. The prices of these items have increased three times this year. Last week, Maruti Suzuki, Hero Motor Corp, electronic product companies, Sony, LG and Godrej increased the prices of their products. Apart from this, Xiaomi, Realme and Vivo announced to increase the prices of their respective smartphones. In the last six months, many companies have increased the prices of their products by 3 to 5 percent. According to a report, Bajaj Electronic, a leading company in the home appliances sector, is preparing to increase the prices of all its products by at least 3 percent during July to August. Similarly, Godrej Appliances can also increase the prices of products by 7-8 percent in two times in the second quarter. AC maker Blue Star is also preparing to increase the price of its product by 5-8 percent from September 1.
