New Delhi: The difficulties of microblogging site Twitter in the country are increasing day by day. Twitter continues to tussle with the central government regarding the new IT rules. Meanwhile, Twitter has received notices on several issues such as spreading communal unrest in the country, pornographic material, pornographic material related to children, putting up a wrong map of India and closing the accounts of Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and Congress MP Shashi Tharoor. Along with this, cases have also been registered in many states.
Incorrect map of India
Two FIRs have been registered in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh against senior Twitter officials in India for putting up a wrong map of the country. An FIR has been registered in Khurja Kotwali of Bulandshahr district on the issue of wrong map. Lawyer Praveen Bhati, a resident of Khurja Nagar in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh, has filed a case at Khurja Kotwali Nagar police station, in which he has mentioned about the exclusion of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh from the map of India by Twitter. Praveen Bhati is also the co-convener of Uttar Pradesh Bajrang Dal.

Manish Maheshwari was recently summoned by the Ghaziabad Police of Uttar Pradesh for posting an objectionable video in connection with the attack on an elderly Muslim man. The Uttar Pradesh Police has moved the Supreme Court against the order of the Karnataka High Court which stayed the punitive action against Maheshwari in this case.
why was the case registered?
Ghaziabad Police had on June 15 registered a case against Twitter Inc., Twitter Communications India, news portal The Wire, journalists Muhammad Zubair and Rana Ayyub as well as Congress leaders Salman Nizami, Maskoor Usmani, Shama Mohammad and writer Saba Naqvi. A case has been registered against him for circulating a video of an elderly man who was assaulted with the intention of spreading communal unrest.
