Addressing the Covin Global Conclave on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that I express my deepest condolences to those who lost their lives due to the epidemic in countries around the world. Such an epidemic was not seen in the last hundred years. Experience shows that no nation, no matter how powerful that nation, can solve such a challenge alone.
PM Modi further said that since the beginning of the pandemic, India has been sharing all its experiences, skills and resources with the global communities in the fight against this pandemic. Despite all our compulsions, we have tried to share as much as possible with the world.
The Prime Minister said that technology is an integral part of us against the Kovid-19 epidemic. Fortunately, software is one area in which there is no barrier. That’s why we made our COVID tracing and tracking app open source as soon as it was technically possible.

He said that vaccination is a hope to emerge from corona infection. We have connected the vaccination campaign through digital medium from the very beginning. We all have to move forward together.
The Prime Minister said that Indian civilization considers the whole world as one family. This pandemic has made many people realize the fundamental truth of this philosophy. Therefore, our technology platform for COVID vaccination – which we call CoWin – is being built to be open source.
