New Delhi: After the havoc of the second wave of Corona in Delhi subsided, under the process of unlock, the Delhi government ordered the markets to be opened but with terms and conditions. In many markets of Delhi, the administration seems strict about the violation of Kovid rules. So far action has been taken on many markets and shops in Delhi, including many big markets.
Lakshmi Nagar Market-
Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar Main Market to be closed from 10 pm on 29th June to 10pm on 5th July in view of non-compliance of Kovid Appropriate rules in East Delhi The order was given. In the order, apart from Laxmi Nagar Main Bazaar spread from Vikas Marg to Lovely Public School, other nearby markets like Mangal Bazaar, Vijay Chowk, Subhash Chowk, Jagatram Park, Guru Ramdas Nagar were also directed to be closed. p>
However, after the administration’s meeting with the traders of Laxmi Nagar, it was approved to open the market back from July 3 with the conditions for strict adherence to the Kovid rules.
12 shops in Gandhinagar Market-
The administration has issued an order to close 12 shops of Gandhi Nagar Market coming in Shahdara district for violation of Corona rules. On behalf of the SDM of the area, the owners of all the 12 shops have been directed to keep the shop closed from July 4 to July 12 due to non-compliance of Corona Appropriate Behavior in the shop by issuing 12 separate orders.
< p style="text-align: justify;">Punjabi Basti Market and Janata Market, Nangloi
In Nangloi, West Delhi, two markets, Punjabi Basti Market and Janata Market, have been ordered to be closed due to violation of Corona rules. In the order issued by the SDM, it has been said that the Kovid Appropriate behavior is not being followed by the public and shopkeepers in the market, due to which these markets can become hotspots of infection. An order has been issued to keep Punjabi Basti and Janta Market completely closed from 4th July to 6th July.
Central Market, Lajpat Nagar-
Central Market of Lajpat Nagar has been closed till further orders are issued due to non-compliance of covid appropriate behavior. It has been told in the order that under the supervision of the SDM of the area, the enforcement team inspected the Lajpat Nagar Central Market and during the inspection, a gross violation of Kovid-19 rules was found. After which this action has been taken.
In the order issued on 4th July, Lajpat Nagar Market Trader Association has been asked through show cause why action should not be taken against them. The association has been given a day’s time to respond. Along with this, it has also been asked to ensure in 1 day that all the standards of following Kovid Appropriate Behavior in the market are met. Based on the response and review of the Traders Association, a decision will be taken by the administration regarding the opening of the market.
Rui Mandi, Sadar Bazar-
Rui Mandi of Delhi’s famous Sadar Bazar has also been ordered to be closed in view of non-compliance of Corona rules. The administration has directed to keep the cotton market closed from July 5 to July 6. During the inspection, the enforcement team found that the appropriate behavior of Kovid was not being followed by the vendors, vendors and general public in Rui Mandi. Due to the large crowd, the rules were not being followed. In view of this, this decision has been taken.
