Madhya Pradesh. A case of a 26-year-old man preparing a fake report of himself being infected with the corona virus to allegedly stay away from his newly wed wife due to personal problems has come to the fore.
Indore’s Choti Gwaltoli police station in-charge Sanjay Shukla said on Monday that on the complaint of a private laboratory in the city on the disclosure of this forgery, a 26-year-old man was booked under Section 469 of the Indian Penal Code (with intent to cause damage to the reputation of a firm). A criminal case under forgery) and other relevant provisions has been registered recently. This person is a resident of the nearby town of Mhow.
He told, “The accused was married in February. But due to personal problems, he kept a distance from his newly married wife. There was also a rift between husband and wife about this matter.” Shukla said that the accused downloaded the report of another person being infected with the corona virus from the website of a private laboratory in Indore and wrote his name in it through forgery.
He told that the accused sent this fake report to his wife and father through WhatsApp and disappeared from the house without informing anyone. Shukla said, “As soon as the accused’s fake report was received, his family members were shocked because he did not have any symptoms of Kovid-19. Later, the forgery of this person was exposed after the family members took information from the private laboratory.”
The station in-charge said that detailed investigation is going on in the case and after finding the accused, he has been given a notice that whenever he is needed in the investigation, he will appear before the police.
