Railway Train Timings: Due to Corona, the train services affected for the last nearly 16 months are now slowly returning back on track. So far 86 percent of mail and express trains have been resumed under the North Central Railway zone. With the restoration of most of the trains, passengers are now getting the same facilities as before. The number of trains decreased during the Corona period, but most of the trains that are running are not falling prey to lateness and are reaching their scheduled time.
According to VK Tripathi, GM of North Central Railway Zone, in the first quarter of the current financial year, more than 93 percent of the trains in their zone have reached their destination on time. According to him, this is the first time that almost all trains are taking passengers to their stations without delay.
Action is also being taken against those who break the rules- GM
GM VK Tripathi said that in the first quarter of the year, the North Central Railway zone has achieved about a quarter more revenue by increasing one-third in the loading of goods. According to him, in the quarter of April to June last year, 3.24 metric tonnes of goods were loaded, while this time 4.32 metric tonnes have been loaded. Similarly, last year revenue of Rs 352 crore was received, which has increased to Rs 437 crore this time. He informed that NCR zone will be fully electrified in the next financial year.
VK Tripathi says that from railway stations to trains, many steps are being taken to protect people from the corona epidemic and to make social distancing and masks mandatory. People are being made aware and at the same time action is being taken against those who break the rules. According to him, the Railway Department is working on the basic mantra of PM Narendra Modi’s life.
