New Delhi: This time the monsoon in Delhi is coming late in the last 15 years. Monsoon can knock in Delhi and North India by July 10. Meteorologists predict that the delay in monsoon will not make much difference, there is only a possibility of normal rainfall.
There is news of relief for North India, which is hot due to heat. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon is expected to reach the rain-craving parts by July 10, including Delhi. If we talk about Delhi, this time the people of Delhi are facing scorching heat and humidity due to lack of monsoon. Due to which relief can be given only by the rain of monsoon. Let us tell you that this time the monsoon will reach Delhi late in the last 15 years. Earlier, monsoon had reached Delhi on July 7 in 2012 and July 9 in 2006. In 2002, Delhi received monsoon rains for the first time on July 19, and till now in 1987, the late monsoon came on July 26.
temperature exceeds 40 degrees
This time due to the delay in monsoon, as if fire is raining from the sky, after many decades in July, the temperature of Delhi is reaching beyond 40 degrees. So there is severe heat and humidity in the surrounding areas including the capital and relief from this will only bring strong monsoon rains. However, in the last 3-4 days, there was light rain in some parts of Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan, due to which the temperature saw a drop of 2-3 degrees for almost two days.
Meteorologists are seeing it as a pre-monsoon. Talking about today i.e. Tuesday, even today the temperature and humidity of Delhi is troubling the people. While the temperature remained around 37 degrees in the morning, today the maximum temperature is likely to exceed 40 degrees. During the rainy season for 4 months in the country, the monsoon keeps taking a break. The different thing in this monsoon break is that the monsoon has already reached the break mode before covering the entire country.
It often happens that the monsoon takes a break after reaching the entire country by the end of July or the beginning of August. This time we have a recent conversation with Meteorological Department scientist Charan Singh, who said that the delay in monsoon is due to the decrease in activity in the Arabian Sea because we see that activity in the Arabian Sea increases around June. Due to which the monsoon arrives on time, but this time the activity was less and the reason for this is that the westerly winds have been dominating the activity continuously. Right now all we can say is that there will be normal rain, at that time it will be seen in real time only.
This time according to the statistics, Delhi has seen the highest heat in 9 years. The premature monsoon in the country had stopped before it completely covered the country. Due to this, the heat increased in many areas, such as in the capital Delhi, the mercury touched 43.5 degrees on July 1. For the first time in 9 years, there is so much heat in the capital in July. In the states of North India, this time the mercury went up to 7 degrees above normal. People are getting very worried due to the heat. Complaints like people’s health deteriorating after coming out of the house are also coming to the fore. At this time due to corona, people have to wear face masks, which is very important, but due to the heat, the mask is also troubling people.
