New Delhi: Corona vaccination is going on in the country. Meanwhile, Maharashtra has asked the Center for three crore doses of the vaccine every month. A resolution has been passed in the legislature regarding this. At the same time, the Health Minister of Karnataka has asked the Center to increase the supply of corona vaccine. Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said that the stock of the vaccine has run out and appealed to the Center to send more doses.
Karnataka Health Minister K. Sudhakar met Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on Tuesday and demanded that the central government increase the supply of corona vaccine to the state. The minister said in the meeting that Karnataka has so far administered about 2.4 crore doses of the vaccine, which is the highest among all the southern states. Sudhakar is on a two-day visit to the national capital. In a letter submitted to the Union Health Minister, Sudhakar said that there are about 13,000 immunization centers in Karnataka and the capacity to administer one million doses of the vaccine daily. The minister said in the letter, ‘‘Therefore I urge the Government of India to kindly increase the supply so that every willing and eligible citizen in the state can be vaccinated at the earliest.’’
