Srinagar: All major political parties of Kashmir, except PDP and ANC, will meet the Delimitation Commission, who arrived to get the ground level information regarding the formation of new constituencies in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti-led People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Awami National Conference (ANC) are constituents of People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD).
In a letter to the Commission, the ANC has stated that it will not participate in the proceedings as the establishment of the Commission has been challenged before the Supreme Court.

He said Abdul Rahim Rather, Mohd Shafi Uri, Mian Altaf Ahmed, Nasir Aslam Wani and Sakina Ittoo will meet the members of the commission.
Delegates from Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference will participate
There will be a four-member delegation from the Sajjad Lone-led J&K People’s Conference comprising Bashir Ahmed Dar, Mansoor Hussain Sohrawardy, Mohammad Khurshid Alam and Mohammad Ashraf Mir.
National Panthers Party has elected Syed Masood Andrabi, Manzoor Ahmed Naik, Haqeeq Singh Jamwal, Farooq Ahmed Dar and Hakim Arif Ali as its representatives to meet the commission.
These leaders will be included from the BJP side
However, senior CPI(M) leader MY Tarigami is not part of the party delegation. The commission has also called the district bodies of various political parties for talks. These include members of National Conference, Congress, BJP and Apni Party.
