The scorching heat continued in the northern areas of the country on Monday as well. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the Southwest Monsoon is likely to reach the remaining parts of North India, including Delhi, by July 10. This is the first time in the last 15 years that the monsoon is arriving so late. The national capital recorded a maximum temperature of 39.5 degrees Celsius on Monday.
