YS Sharmila, sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, on Thursday officially formed the political organization – YSR Telangana Party – in active politics. Promising ‘Rajanna Rajyam’ as envisioned by the former Andhra Pradesh chief minister and his late father, he said the main agenda of the YSR Telangana party would be based on issues like welfare, self-prosperity and quality.
Unveiling the party’s agenda and flag at a private auditorium here, Sharmila said she would begin a ‘padyatra’ of the state on the 100th day from today to interact with the people and understand their problems. Sharmila criticized Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, alleging that he has failed to fulfill his promises made to the public.

On the other hand, on the Krishna river water dispute between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, he said that both the Chief Ministers should sit together and resolve the issue. Hitting out at the BJP and the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), he alleged that there was a collusion between the two parties.
Earlier in the day, he paid tributes to his father YS Rajasekhara Reddy at his Samadhi at Idupulapaya in Cuddapah district of Andhra Pradesh on his birth anniversary. Seeking blessings for their daughter, Rajasekhara Reddy’s wife Vijayamma said Sharmila and Jagan represent the interests of people from two different regions.
Reacting to the formation of the party, Telangana unit chief of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) K Krishna Sagar Rao said that the entire program is like an audio release program of a new film, nothing more than that.
