New Delhi: The Meteorological Department has predicted the arrival of monsoon in Delhi today. Today it will be cloudy in Delhi and it may rain. Today the maximum temperature in Delhi can go up to 37 degrees and the minimum temperature can go up to 24 degrees. An alert of heavy rain has been issued in the country’s financial capital Mumbai today. On the other hand, light to moderate rain started in some areas of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand from Friday itself. Conditions are favorable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan during next 24 hours.
After the outbreak of heat wave for almost a week in north-west India, the temperature dropped on Friday. But people had to face sultry heat due to high humidity due to poor monsoon conditions in the region. With the further strengthening of southwesterly winds from the Arabian Sea and the formation of a low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal around July 11, rainfall is likely to increase over the west coast and adjoining peninsular India.

Light to moderate rain with light to moderate rain may occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka, Konkan & Goa, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, parts of Tamil Nadu, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. Light to moderate rain may occur over Northeast India, parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Western parts of Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan, parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and rest of Western Himalayas. Light rain is likely over Interior Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Lakshadweep and South Gujarat.
Monsoon will again gain momentum in Rajasthan
The southwest monsoon, which has been sluggish for several days, is expected to become active again in Rajasthan from Saturday and the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of good rains in the coming days. According to the Meteorological Center Jaipur, monsoon winds have started becoming active in some parts of the state from Friday. There is a possibility of rain at most places in East Rajasthan.
According to this, the monsoon is likely to advance and become active in some parts of Kota, Jaipur Udaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer divisions on Saturday. Similarly, on July 10-11, there is a possibility of heavy rains in the districts of Udaipur, Kota division and on July 12 in Jaipur, Bharatpur division. At the same time, in some places in Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Bikaner and Churu districts of Bikaner division of the state, thunderstorm and rain started on Friday where monsoon is likely to reach between July 11 and 13. Rain has been forecast at most places between July 12 and 13.
