Russian-made Sputnik-V vaccine will be administered to people from today in Gurugram, Haryana. Gurugram is the first district in the state where the health department will inject the dose of Russian-made Sputnik-V vaccine. According to reports, today 50 people will be given the first dose in the poly-clinic located in Sector 31.
CMO Dr. Virendra Yadav said while giving information, "Gurugram has received the dose of Sputnik-V vaccine. Gurugram Health Department is the first district of the state, where now the doses of all three vaccines Sputnik-V, Kovishield and Covaccine are available and are being administered to the people." he adds, "If the dose of the vaccine will come more, then the number of centers will be increased but now the Sputnik vaccine will be applied at only one centre."
CMO Virendra Yadav said that the vaccination drive will be started at 12.00 hrs in Government Polyclinic Sector-31 and 50 doses will be available on the first day. The vaccine will be given free of charge on a ‘first come-first served’ basis. At the same time, the second dose of the vaccine will be given after 21 days. They told, "We have kept deep freezers to maintain the required temperature at the polyclinic in Sector 31, Civil Hospital in Sector 10, Wazirabad Community Health Center and sub-divisional government hospitals in Sohna and Pataudi, which was provided by the district administration."
Vaccine giving campaign is progressing fast in Gurugram
According to reports, so far 15,35,573 people have been vaccinated in Gurugram dose has been given. Of these doses, 14,248 doses were given on Friday.
