New Delhi: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Saturday that the committee appointed by the Center has given a clean chit to the Delhi government in the matter of purchase of buses. He said that this is proof of the honest politics of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Officials said the three-member committee included the Transport and Vigilance Commissioner of the Delhi government. It was constituted last month by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal who submitted his report to Baijal on July 8.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been accusing the Kejriwal government of being involved in a scam in the annual maintenance contract of 1,000 low-floor buses to be procured by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC). Sisodia said the committee analyzed 3000 documents and raised several questions, after which it concluded that the Kejriwal government was not involved in any scam in the purchase of buses.
BJP leaders were spreading lies about the purchase of DTC buses and making false allegations of corruption against the Kejriwal government. The Central Government also formed an inquiry committee in this matter.
The Central Inquiry Committee itself gave a clean chit in this matter and agreed that @ArvindKejriwal government is honest government

The Deputy CM said, “The committee appointed by the Center says that there is no scam. This is proof that Kejriwal is honest. Kejriwal works for those who have elected him and does not join in fighting like BJP. Buses will be bought despite the obstacles being created by the BJP. BJP should be ashamed that it accuses a leader like Kejriwal. He should apologize to the people of Delhi.” Due to the investigation of the committee appointed by the Lieutenant Governor, the Transport Department had put a stop to the bus purchase process.
