Delhi: Mother Dairy, a major supplier of milk in the capital Delhi and NCR, has announced to increase the price of milk by Rs 2 per liter. This price hike will be applicable from today. Earlier, Mother Dairy had revised the milk prices in December 2019.
Before Mother Dairy, Amul had also increased the price of milk by Rs 2 per liter from July 1. Justifying this price hike, Mother Dairy said that during the last one year, the cost of procuring milk from dairy farmers has increased by eight to 10 per cent. Apart from this, other operating expenses have also increased.
Mother Dairy milk sales in more than 100 cities
Mother Dairy said that in view of this, milk prices in Delhi-NCR have to be increased by Rs 2 per liter, which will be applicable from July 11. Mother Dairy said that milk prices in eastern and central Uttar Pradesh, Mumbai, Nagpur and Kolkata will also increase by Rs 2 per liter from July 11. Mother Dairy milk is sold in more than 100 cities of the country. Mother Dairy’s daily sales are 35 lakh liters of milk. Out of this, it sells 30 lakh liters of milk in Delhi-NCR.
1- Tokenized milk will be Rs 44 per liter. Right now its price is Rs 42 per liter.
2- The price of full cream (Polypack) milk will increase from Rs 55 to Rs 57 per litre.
3- Toned milk will be Rs 45 to 47 per liter and double toned milk will be Rs 39 to 41 per liter.
4- The price of cow’s milk will increase from Rs 47 to Rs 49 per liter.
5- The price of a half-liter pouch of milk has been increased by one rupee. In this sense, the price of one liter will increase by two rupees per liter.
Mumbai- Gokul increased the price of milk in Maharashtra by Rs 2 a liter, the new prices are applicable from today
Let us tell you, Kolhapur District Co-operative Milk Producers Union, which owns the Gokul Milk brand, has also announced to increase the price of milk in Maharashtra by two rupees a liter from today. However, this price hike will not be applicable in Kolhapur, Sangli and Konkan. In a statement issued on Saturday, it has been said that Gokul has increased the price of buffalo and cow milk by Rs 2 per liter. However, milk prices have not been increased in Kolhapur, Sangli and Konkan.
At present Gokul’s cow’s milk is Rs 47 a liter. Its price will be Rs 49 a liter from Sunday. At the same time, the price of buffalo milk will increase from Rs 58 to Rs 60 a litre. Union chief Satej Patil said that the cost of purchase of buffalo milk has increased by Rs 2 and that of cow’s milk by Rs 1 a liter, due to which we have to increase the price. Gokul procures 12 lakh liters of milk daily from across the state.
